Effective November 1, the official web site for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will be uscis.gov.
Starting November 3, customers visiting our former web addresses, such as www.immigration.gov or www.bcis.gov, will be redirected to uscis.gov. Our graphics emphasize "dot-gov" to reinforce this information as accurate and official.
It also differentiates uscis.gov from immigration-related and non-governmental web sites, as well as potential Internet impostors.
